Actually, the really cool thing about this CD (as far as I'm concerned) is that I recorded, mixed and mastered the whole thing on a BOSS BR-1600CD digital recording workstation. These things cost about $1,400 and have everything you need (except for microphones of course).

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">On the snare, a Shure Beta 57. In the bass drum, an Audix D6. On the floor tom, an Audix D4. On the two mounted toms, Audix Micro-D condensers. For overheads, two Behringer B-5 condensers about three feet from the top of the cymbals. I also used a hi-hat mic on some tunes, but after experimenting, I decided it was best to go without it.Quote:

Drums are Yamaha MCA with clear ambassadors on the batters with clear diplomats underneath (10,12 & 14), PS3 on the bass drum (22) and coated reverse dot on the snare (5 1/2").
Cymbals are Sabian.

I keep my head until it gets too bright. Ya know, when the center gets too much wear and it opens up a tad too much.
So of the dots I was usingwould start to crack because they were too thin. The guy who builds my snare drums (plug: Fortune Drums) Gave me a handfull of good dots that seem to hold up a lot longer.

I know Tommy Aldridge had trouble with the Remo CS Coated reverse dots coming unglued, but he hits pretty hard.
